Save Me

Hyeong-Oh's disability has painted a target on his back, and almost nobody at school is willing to treat him as a person. Then a quiet transfer student arrives who makes no excuses for standing beside him. That friendship sits at the centre of the series, and it gives the thriller its emotional anchor. The full-colour art sets a tense, moody tone, and the story builds suspense in a clear, deliberate way. The bond between the two boys is sincere, and the series is strongest when it focuses on how they look out for each other. The thriller beats are well staged. The weaknesses are real. The bullying is painful to read, and the story leans on it hard in places. Some mystery threads feel contrived to keep the tension high, and readers who want a subtler handling of the theme may find it heavy.Recommended for readers who like tense school dramas with a strong friendship. Be ready for difficult scenes.
