Content policy

This policy explains what weeb.ltd hosts, what you may and may not post, and how we handle reports and copyright takedowns. It sits alongside the terms and the privacy policy; where a term is defined there, it means the same here.

Two kinds of content

There are only two kinds of content on weeb.ltd, and we treat them very differently.

• What we host. Your account and library metadata, and the things you write on the community surfaces: forum threads and replies, club posts, your profile and username. This is the content this policy governs.
• What we do not host. Manga, comics or any reader pages. StoryHoard is a client-side reading tool that runs on your own device; every page you read is fetched from the third-party site you chose to open. weeb.ltd never stores, proxies, caches or serves that material, and we do not control or endorse those sites.

Community rules

The forum, clubs and profiles are all-ages and open to everyone. Post as though a fourteen-year-old and a rights holder are both reading, because they are. When you post you confirm the content is yours to share and follows these rules:

• No piracy. Do not post, link to or ask for unofficial scans, rips, aggregator sites or downloads. Point people to official readers and stores instead.
• Keep it all-ages. No sexually explicit or pornographic content, no graphic gore, nothing that sexualises minors in any form. No spoilers in thread titles.
• Be civil. No harassment, hate speech, threats, or targeting a person or group over who they are. No doxxing or posting someone else's private information.
• Nothing illegal. No content that is unlawful where you or the site operate, and no encouraging others to break the law.
• No spam. No advertising, referral or affiliate links of your own, chain posts, or automated bulk posting. Self-promotion is limited to what the community would genuinely welcome.
• Post honestly. One account per person, no impersonating staff or other members, no evading a ban with a new account.

Buying and reading the real thing

Discovery and title pages link to official retailers and readers so you can buy or read the genuine release. We earn an affiliate commission on some of those outbound links, at no extra cost to you, and every earning link is disclosed where it appears. We do not put affiliate links in email, and members may not post their own.

Reporting content

Every thread, post and profile has a report control; use it if something breaks these rules. You can also write to abuse@weeb.ltd with a link to the content and a short note on the problem. Reports are read by a person, usually within a few days and faster for anything about a minor's safety.

What we do about it

We can remove or lock content, hide it pending review, and warn, suspend or ban an account, depending on how serious and how repeated the breach is. We keep a moderation record so decisions are consistent and appealable. If your content is actioned you will normally be told why, and you can reply to abuse@weeb.ltd to appeal. Accounts that keep breaking the rules, or that exist mainly to break them, are removed.

Copyright and takedowns

We respect copyright and expect members to as well. If you believe something on weeb.ltd infringes your rights, whether it is a member's post, a piece of metadata, or an outbound link, email abuse@weeb.ltd with:

• the exact URL or a link to the specific content;
• identification of the work you say it infringes;
• your contact details;
• a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorised by the rights holder, the law or its agent, and that the information in your notice is accurate; and
• confirmation you are the rights holder or are authorised to act for them.

We act on valid notices promptly, remove or disable the content, and tell the member who posted it. Because weeb.ltd hosts no reader pages, a notice about manga content itself should go to the site actually serving that page, not to us. If your content was removed and you believe that was a mistake, reply to the same address with a counter-statement explaining why and we will review it. We remove the accounts of members who infringe repeatedly.

Changes

We may update this policy as the site grows or the law changes. The date at the top shows the last revision; a material change will be announced on the site.
