Terms of service

These terms are the agreement between you and the operator of StoryHoard for using any part of it: the weeb.ltd website and account, the StoryHoard / StoryHoard browser extension, and the StoryHoard mobile app (together, "StoryHoard" or "the service"). Using any of them, and creating an account in particular, means you accept them. If you do not agree, do not create an account. They work together with the privacy policy, the content policy and the affiliate disclosure. Where a section names one product, it applies to that product; everything else applies to the whole service.

Who provides the service

StoryHoard is run by one operator. It provides discovery, community, and one account that syncs your library across the browser extension, the mobile app and the website. It does not host, store, proxy or distribute manga. The browser extension is published on GitHub under its own code licence, and runs on your device; its own reading and library features work without an account, but your use of the shared account, sync and community is governed by these terms. We are not affiliated with AniList, MyAnimeList, MangaDex, any publisher, retailer or reader we link to.

Who can use it

You can browse weeb.ltd and use the extension's local reading without an account. An account is for people aged 13 or over, or older where your country sets a higher minimum age for digital consent; creating one confirms you meet that age. If you are under the age of majority where you live, use the account with a parent or guardian's permission.

Your account

• Keep your sign-in provider and any two-factor method secure; you are responsible for activity on your account.
• One account per person. Do not impersonate other people or staff, and do not create an account to evade a ban.
• Give accurate information and keep your contact email current so we can reach you about the account.
• Tell us promptly if you think your account has been accessed by someone else.

Acceptable use

The community spaces are all-ages. What you may and may not post is set out in the content policy, and it forms part of these terms. In short: no piracy or links to unofficial sources, nothing sexually explicit or otherwise adult, no harassment or hate, nothing illegal, and no spam or self-promotion. You also agree not to break, overload, scrape or probe the site, interfere with other members, or use the service to breach anyone else's rights or the law.

Your content

You keep ownership of what you post. To run the community we need permission to use it, so you grant weeb.ltd a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, display, back up and format your posts and profile as part of operating the service. This licence lasts while the content is on the site and ends when it is deleted, except for backups that age out on the schedule in the privacy policy and copies kept where the law requires. You confirm the content is yours to share and does not break these terms or anyone's rights. When you delete your account your posts become anonymous "[deleted]" entries so other people's conversations keep their shape.

The extension and third-party sites

StoryHoard fetches pages from the third-party sites you choose to open; weeb.ltd neither controls nor endorses those sites and does not see or store their content. You are responsible for using them lawfully and in line with their own terms. Title metadata and cover art come from third parties and may be incomplete or wrong. The service is provided as it is, and we do not guarantee any particular source, title or feature will keep working.

Buy links and affiliate earnings

Some outbound links to retailers and readers carry an affiliate tag, which may earn us a commission at no extra cost to you. This is explained in the affiliate disclosure. A buy link sends you to the retailer, whose own terms and privacy practices then apply.

Supporter subscriptions

Supporting weeb.ltd is optional; the site's features do not depend on it. Payments are handled by Stripe; we never see your card details. A subscription is billed in advance and renews automatically each period until you cancel. You can cancel any time from the supporter page, which stops the next renewal and keeps your supporter status until the end of the period you have paid for. We do not give partial refunds for a period already started except where the law gives you that right. If the price changes we will tell you before it applies to you. Supporter perks are cosmetic or convenience extras and may change over time.

Our intellectual property

The weeb.ltd name, look and the text we write are ours or used with permission; please do not copy the site or pass it off as your own. This does not affect your rights in your own posts, or the separate code licence that covers the StoryHoard extension on GitHub.

Moderation, suspension and closing an account

We can remove or lock content, and warn, suspend or close an account, when these terms or the content policy are broken, in proportion to how serious and how repeated the breach is. Where we can, we will tell you why, and you can appeal by writing to abuse@weeb.ltd. You can close your own account at any time from Settings; deletion is scheduled 7 days out and signing back in during that window cancels it. Closing an account does not entitle you to a refund of a subscription period already paid.

No warranty

weeb.ltd is a community project offered as it is and as available, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent the law allows. We do not promise the site will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure against every threat, that third-party data will be accurate, or that any source will remain reachable.

Limit of liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud, and nothing removes the statutory rights you have as a consumer. Subject to that, weeb.ltd is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for loss of data or profits, or for anything that happens on the third-party sites the extension opens. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us, if anything, in the twelve months before the claim.

Changes

We may change the service, and we may update these terms as the site grows or the law changes. When the terms change in a way that matters, the date at the top moves and the change is noted in the changelog. Continuing to use your account after that is acceptance of the new version; if you do not accept it, close your account.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes fall to the courts of England and Wales. If you are a consumer elsewhere, you keep the protections of the mandatory law of the country you live in.
