Skeleton Knight in Another World

Skeleton Knight in Another World is a light isekai with a fun, gamer-friendly premise. One day a player wakes up in the world of his favourite MMORPG and discovers he has become his game character: a heroic knight who happens to be a skeleton. The skull-for-a-head is a clear problem, and he resolves to keep a low profile so no one mistakes him for a monster. He cannot quite manage to ignore the troubles of his new world, though, and his honourable instincts keep pulling him into adventure. The lead is likeable, and the story has an easy, pleasant rhythm. The honest cons: the stakes stay modest for long stretches, and the isekai beats follow familiar paths. Some supporting characters are thin. Still, it is a comfortable, enjoyable read for fans of game-world fantasy. If you enjoy a gentle hero who does the right thing, this is a good pick.
