Otaku ni Otoku na Gal Gurashi

Yutaka is the son of a wealthy family, but he is also an introvert and an otaku who spends his allowance supporting his favourite idol. When his parents' business fails, his comfortable life falls apart, and he has to learn to live differently. The premise is a warm slice of life about fandom, money and finding your footing. The strength is the lead. Yutaka's devotion to his idol is funny and sincere, and his awkward attempts to adapt are easy to root for. The supporting cast gives the story a friendly, lived-in feel, and the tone stays light. The weaknesses are about pace. The romance builds slowly, and some running gags return too often. Readers wanting a sharp, fast romcom may find it leisurely.Recommended for fans of gentle comedies about hobbies and everyday life. Expect a cheerful, low-key read with a kind heart.
