Two girls who love setting up a tent, starting a fire and eating noodles in the open air go camping together. The premise is simple, and the series is designed to make you want to step outside. The strongest element is the mood. The scenery is calm and detailed, and the food and gear scenes are lovingly drawn. The friendship between the leads is warm and believable, and the tips woven into each chapter feel genuinely useful. The weakness is momentum. The stakes are very low, and the episodic structure means there is little plot to pull you forward. Readers who want drama or conflict will not find much here.If you want something gentle to unwind with, it is an easy recommendation. It is a comfort read in the best sense, and it leaves you feeling calmer. Expect quiet scenery, cosy meals and a steady sense of contentment.
