Losing their parents, Fumino and her brother hop from one relative to another. Getting tired of all those moves, she finally decides to quit school. That is a painful, relatable start, and the series is built on the question of what home really means when nobody is quite sure you belong. The strength is the bond. The sibling relationship is warm and sincere, and the small moments of everyday life feel grounded. Fumino's stubborn resilience gives the story a strong centre, and the setbacks feel real. The weaknesses are clear. The repeated moves can make some arcs drag, and the romance elements are secondary to the family drama. Readers wanting a lighter romance may find the mood heavy.Recommended for readers who enjoy tender family stories about belonging. Expect an emotional, steady read.
