Mountain roads. Night races. A quiet kid who learns every corner by heart. Rin says it plain: this is the car story that started a thousand obsessions. The racing scenes are the heart of it, and the tension still hits, even with the older look. The lead is a steady, lovable racer who learns by doing. Honest take: the technical car talk can swamp a casual reader, and some of the art and pacing feel old next to newer sports manga. The long run also means some stretches feel slower than the big battles. Still, the rivalry energy and the driving are the real deal. If you love cars, speed and grit, this is a classic you should not skip.
