Bloody Sweet

Naerim accidentally breaks the seal of a vampire, who starts following her around like a little puppy. It may not be your typical vampire story. That playful hook is the heart of the series: a fearsome creature who turns out to be eager and devoted, and a girl who never wanted a companion at all.The strength is the charm. The vampire's puppy-like enthusiasm is funny and sweet, and the full-colour art makes the everyday comedy bright. Naerim's reluctant warmth gives the story a steady core. The weaknesses are clear. Some bullying themes can be uncomfortable, and certain plot beats are predictable. Readers wanting a darker vampire story will find it light.Recommended for fans of playful fantasy romance with a loyal companion. Expect a cheerful, sweet ride.
