Love in Focus

Mako has always had a passion for photography. When she loses someone dear to her, she clings to her art as a relic of the closeness they once shared. That premise is tender and quiet, and the series is built on the way creativity can hold grief and open a door to new connection. The strength is the sincerity. The grief is handled gently, and the photography scenes show the patience and attention the craft requires. The new bonds that form around the camera feel genuine. The weaknesses are clear. The short run leaves some threads brief, and a few arcs are predictable. Readers wanting a long story may find it compact.Recommended for readers who enjoy gentle stories about art and healing. Expect a tender, quiet read.
