High-school student Shuuto is looking forward to being free and at ease while his parents are working overseas. The only problem is that things do not quite go as planned. The premise is a light slice-of-life comedy about the brief, chaotic freedom of a teenager left to fend for himself. The strength is the humour. Shuuto's mix of excitement and bewilderment is relatable, and the everyday mishaps are funny. The tone is easygoing and friendly. The weaknesses are about structure. The story has little plot, and the gags repeat across its run. Readers wanting more drama may find it slight.Recommended for readers who enjoy easygoing slice-of-life comedy. Expect a light, cheerful read that is best enjoyed in short doses.
