There is an inn that you can visit, where you will find old things you thought were lost forever. That is a delicate, evocative premise, and the series builds on its mood. Each visit becomes a small mystery about memory, loss and what people carry with them, and the tone is calm and reflective. The strength is the atmosphere. The inn feels quiet and strange, and the stories are thoughtful rather than showy. The emotional beats land with restraint. The weaknesses are clear. The format can feel repetitive, and some mysteries are left open. Readers wanting clear resolutions may find the ending of each tale ambiguous.Recommended for readers who enjoy quiet, reflective supernatural stories. Read a few at a time and let them settle.
