Usotsuki Mii-kun to Kowareta Maa-chan: Totteoki no Uso

Based on the first volume of the light novel, the manga greatly condenses the story. The setting is a rural city in which a kidnapping and a series of murders are happening at the same time. The premise is a psychological mystery in which a quiet town hides a web of crimes and secrets. The strength is the tension. The mystery is intricate, and the twists keep the reader guessing. The rural setting adds an uneasy feeling of isolation. The weaknesses are about the condensing and tone. The adaptation is brisk, and some details may feel compressed. The dark themes are heavy. Readers wanting a gentler story will find it unsettling.Recommended for fans of tense psychological mysteries. Expect a dark, twisty read that rewards attention.
