Taking inspiration from the Russian classic Crime and Punishment and placing the behemoth of a book into a modern metropolis, the manga retells Dostoevsky's story of a young man's theory and its consequences. The premise is a psychological drama about guilt, justification and the cost of crossing a line. The strength is the adaptation. Moving the story to a modern city keeps its moral questions sharp, and the protagonist's inner conflict is well drawn. The mood is tense and unsettling. The weaknesses are about tone and difficulty. The themes are heavy and some turns are hard to follow, especially for readers unfamiliar with the source. Readers wanting a lighter read will find it draining.Recommended for readers who enjoy serious, morally complex drama. Expect a tense, demanding read.
