Candy Color Paradox

Satoshi Onoe is a reporter for a weekly magazine who has a new stakeout partner, and he is anything but thrilled about it. Photographer Motoharu Kaburagi has an unconventional reporting method. The premise is a comedy-drama about two very different professionals who must work together whether they like it or not.The strength is the chemistry. The two leads' clashing styles make for lively banter, and the workplace setting gives the comedy a bright, grounded feel. Their gradual respect for each other is nicely paced. The weaknesses are about the romance. It builds slowly, and some running jokes return often. Readers wanting a fast-moving romance may find the pace leisurely.Recommended for fans of workplace comedies with a mismatched pair. Expect a witty, easygoing read that is stronger in its jokes than its drama.
