Hikari Hamura, nicknamed Picasso for his natural artistic ability, survived a horrible accident, but his friend Chiaki was not so lucky. Suddenly Chiaki appears in front of him again. The premise is a psychological drama in which grief, guilt and the uncanny meet in a painful reunion. The strength is the emotion. Picasso's guilt and confusion are drawn with real depth, and the return of his friend is unsettling in the best way. The art and character work give the story its power. The weaknesses are about tone and pacing. The story is heavy, and some stretches slow down. Readers looking for a light drama will find it draining.Recommended for readers who enjoy psychological stories about grief and guilt. Expect a heavy, affecting read that stays with you.
