Kimi to Boku.

Four friends since kindergarten, and the question of whether they actually get along or just keep choosing each other. That's the quiet engine of this slice-of-life. It doesn't rush anywhere, and it trusts you to notice the small shifts between its characters. What I appreciate is how grounded it feels. The group's ordinary hangouts carry weight because the history between them is so clear. The humour is gentle, and the moments of awkwardness land because nobody is performing for the reader. It's a comfortable world to spend time in.The trade-off is pace. There's little overt plot to pull you forward, and some relationships stay deliberately vague, which can frustrate readers who want clear answers. If you need a story to move briskly, this will test your patience. If you enjoy stories about old friendships and the slow, unspoken growth that comes with them, this is a good pick. Read it at an easy pace and let the group settle into focus.
