Nabari no Ou

Apathetic schoolboy Miharu Rokujou is content to drift through life in the sleepy village of Banten, until his quiet existence is shattered. The Grey Wolves of Iga, a powerful ninja clan, arrive and draw him into a conflict far larger than he expected. That shift from village life to a violent ninja world is the hook, and the series never stays still for long. The strength is the power system. Memory manipulation gives the fights an inventive, clever edge, and the ninja action is stylish and dangerous. Big battles and dark secrets keep the stakes high. The weaknesses are clear. The early pacing is slow to build, and the plot grows dense and sprawling as more factions appear. Readers who want a tight story may find it hard to follow.Recommended for ninja-action fans who enjoy an inventive power system and a sprawling plot. Be patient with the opening.
