Nighthawk was a hitman who left even the most evil of men shaking in their boots at just the mention of their name. But it’s been eight years since the last hunt, and Nighthawk remains in the shadows. Well, not exactly the shadows. Nighthawk is now retired, living on her own in a pigsty apartment, spending every last bit of money on gambling and gacha games. She’s far from the fearsome figure she used to be and is more of a NEET than a stone-cold killer! But with eviction on the horizon and barely any yen left, Nighthawk will have to make her return. Can this current female failure go back to being the deadly killer of legend, or has retirement turned her into someone useless? (Source: Seven Seas Entertainment)

Yotaka was once the strongest assassin in the underworld. Now she is a thirty-three-year-old, unlucky and struggling with addiction, living in a rundown apartment. The premise is a comedy-action series built on the gap between a legendary killer and her chaotic everyday life. The strength is the contrast. The story plays her past talent against her current mess, and the action scenes land with real punch. Her unfiltered attitude makes her a memorable lead. The weaknesses are about tone. The humour can get crude, and the ecchi elements feel out of place for some readers. Those wanting a clean action story may find it rough.Recommended for fans of gritty, irreverent action comedies. Expect a rough, funny read with some sharp fights.
