Nina the cat lost the zodiac race by one spot, and she has held a grudge for millennia. When she forces a divine do-over, unlucky student Cosmo Lee becomes the reluctant referee. The premise is a whimsical fantasy built on the legend of the zodiac and a grudge that refuses to fade. The strength is the charm. Nina's stubborn grudge and Cosmo's exasperation make for funny scenes, and the zodiac lore is fun to play with. The tone is bright and friendly. The weaknesses are about the early stage. The series is still releasing, so its arc is incomplete, and some jokes repeat. Readers wanting a driving plot may find it light.Recommended for fans of playful, lore-based fantasy comedies. Expect a bright, still-developing read.
