Lee Myeong-Jun, vice chairman of the Hyundo Group, lost his daughter to the Iljin Group. For revenge, he adopts Yoon Ga-Ram, a psychopathic young woman. That is a chilling, calculated premise, and the series builds its tension on a plan that uses a dangerous person as a weapon. The stakes of revenge are high from the first chapter. The strength is the plotting. The revenge scheme is sharp, and the full-colour thriller action is bold. Each chapter tightens the web of corporate rivalry. The weaknesses are clear. The tone is very dark, and the adoption premise can feel contrived. Readers wanting moral warmth will find little of it.Recommended for fans of dark corporate thrillers with a revenge engine. Expect a cold, tense read.
