With the proliferation of organic robots called Gijins, humanity is enjoying prosperity in twenty-third-century Tokyo. But when a young man named Riaha meets a certain Gijin, he uncovers something dark beneath the comfortable surface. The premise is a sci-fi drama that asks what it means to be human in a world full of artificial life. The strength is the concept. The idea of organic robots that blend into society raises thoughtful questions, and the world feels vividly imagined. The mystery of the hidden truth builds steadily. The weaknesses are about the darkness and the length. The twists are heavy, and the short run leaves some ideas under-explored. Readers wanting a lighter sci-fi may find it bleak.Recommended for fans of thoughtful sci-fi about identity and humanity. Expect a serious, atmospheric read that rewards attention.
