Dead Rock looms tall in the depths of the demon world. It is a school for demons who want to rule the world. Young demon Yakuto must pass a harrowing entrance exam if he wants to get in. The premise is an action-fantasy about a rigorous academy in a dangerous underworld, where ambition is the entry fee.The strength is the energy. The demon school is colourful and the exam scenes are bold and inventive. Yakuto's determination is easy to root for.The weaknesses are about pacing and structure. The early chapters move quickly, and some tests feel repetitive. Readers wanting depth may find it busy.Recommended for fans of bold, demon-world action. Expect an energetic, colourful read that is best enjoyed in steady doses.
