Classmate no Moto Idol ga, Tonikaku Kyodou Fushin nan desu.

Saegusa, who retired from idolry when she went to high school, is good-looking and intelligent. She is always cheerful and friendly, and she is the most popular person at school. The premise is a romcom about a former idol with a bright surface and a surprising connection to an ordinary student. The strength is the contrast. Saegusa's polished public persona and the boy's bewilderment make for funny scenes, and the idol backstory adds texture. The chapters are quick and the tone stays light. The weaknesses are about predictability. The popular-girl-meets-ordinary-boy premise is common, and some gags repeat. Readers wanting originality may find it standard.Recommended for fans of playful romcoms with a bright lead. Expect a quick, cheerful read that is best enjoyed as a treat.
