Moto Saikyou Yuusha no Saishuushoku

Rin again, and this one is a fun oddball. The hook is good: a former hero who was the strongest in his day ends up broke, divorced and taking quests just to pay the bills. Watching an old legend struggle with his own body is a funny idea, and the story leans into it with a grin. The action beats are short and punchy when they show up. The real engine is the gag, and when the gag lands it is genuinely funny. Some of the grown-up humour about money and aging hits close enough to sting. The problem is repetition. The premise gives you one joke and the series keeps circling it, so the fun thins out faster than it should. The fantasy world is more backdrop than something the story pushes on. Expect a light, quick read rather than a big adventure. If you want something with more bite, look elsewhere. For a casual laugh, it does the job.
