This delinquent is stupid cute! High-schooler Tanaka-kun believes that scary girls are actually cute. That premise is a bright, playful reversal of the usual delinquent romance, and the series builds its comedy on a boy who sees through the tough exterior of the girls around him. The gap between how they look and how they feel is the joke. The strength is the warmth. The lead's sincere belief in the girls' sweetness is funny and endearing, and the cute cast is lively. The school setting feels bright. The weaknesses are clear. The premise can feel light, and the romance develops slowly. Readers wanting depth may find it slight.Recommended for readers who enjoy cute, playful romcoms with a reversed delinquent twist. Expect a bright, light read.
