Twenty-year-old university student Sara Moritani rushes back to the countryside to help her grandfather with his farm after he has been injured. There she meets a veteran strawberry farmer. The premise is a cosy romance built on farm life, family duty and a new friendship blossoming among the fields. The strength is the setting. The farm and the strawberries give the story a warm, seasonal feel, and the farming details are lovely. The romance is sincere and funny. The weaknesses are about the pace. Development is slow, and some scenes repeat. Readers wanting more drama may find it gentle.Recommended for readers who enjoy cosy, rural romances. Expect a warm, slow read that is best enjoyed with a cup of tea.
