The fate of a girl in a BL novel is a tragic one. Girls are either vaguely helpful, evil, or add nothing to the plot. So what happens when a girl decides to change that? That meta premise is clever and playful, and the series builds its engine on a heroine who refuses to be a background prop in someone else's story. The strength is the scheming. The heroine's protective plans are sharp, and the full-colour swordplay adds bold action. The meta jokes about narrative roles land well. The weaknesses are clear. The yandere tone can feel intense, and the novel-world setup is familiar to genre readers. Readers wanting a gentler story may find it sharp.Recommended for fans of meta novel-world fantasy with a clever heroine. Expect a bold, intense ride.
