Rin here, and this one has wheels and a death wish. Reki is a high school skater hooked on S, a secret downhill race through an abandoned mine, where the crowd lives for the beefs that break out mid-race. The premise is pure adrenaline, and the story gets straight to the thrill. The race sequences are the strength. The speed and the sense of danger come through clearly, and the rivalries give the action a personal edge. The transfer student's return adds a fresh dynamic to the group, and the energy stays high through the early chapters. The downside is clarity. The rules of the race and the social hierarchy around it take time to make sense of, and some characters fall into familiar archetypes. The stakes can feel repetitive when every race ends in a brawl or a stunt. Still, for readers who love sports manga with reckless energy, it's a punchy ride. Expect a fast start and some patience while the world sets itself up.
