I Choose the Emperor Ending

Marina is obsessed with medieval fantasies, so she builds a VR device that brings fictional worlds to life. Her dream comes true when she is transported into Lasnarok, the setting of her own novel. The problem is that she has to live in a world she thought she knew, and it does not behave the way she wanted. The strength is the premise. The story enjoys poking fun at its own fantasy tropes, and Marina's confidence drives plenty of comedy. The VR idea gives the series a clever angle on the isekai boom. The weaknesses are in the repetition. The fish-out-of-water jokes return often, and the romance feels like an afterthought. Readers wanting a deeper story may find it light.Recommended for fans of fantasy comedies that poke fun at the genre. Expect a lively, self-aware read that is best enjoyed in short bursts.
