The Good Deeds of Old Adventurer Kane

Meet Kane, a D-rank adventurer with nothing going for him but his kindness. He has spent the last twenty years getting by on herb-picking requests, and then he comes across something unexpected. The premise is a gentle fantasy about a modest man whose good nature makes an outsized difference. The strength is the heart. Kane is an endearing lead, and the way his kindness repays itself is warm and satisfying. The comedy is light and the fantasy world is pleasant. The weaknesses are about structure. The plot can feel episodic, and the romance is a light thread rather than a driving force.
