The Girl and the Geek

Single with no regular job, Go Nanhee starts a new cleaning gig and meets Oh Deokhoo: literally the filthiest, nerdiest guy she has ever seen. If that were not bad enough, his exacting, carefully kept routine is a challenge. The premise is a light romcom built on a cleaner and a client who could not be more different. The strength is the chemistry. Nanhee's brisk practicality and Deokhoo's awkward eccentricity make for lively, funny scenes. The romance builds with warmth. The weaknesses are about pace. The story develops at a steady rate, and some jokes repeat. Readers wanting a faster romance may find it slow.Recommended for fans of sweet romcoms with mismatched leads. Expect a warm, funny read that is best enjoyed in steady doses.
