Tokyo, 2049. Thanks to the Galapagos Reform enacted by the government, Russia, China, America and Japan are connected by a Hyper Loop system. This globalisation has turned Tokyo into a very different city. The premise is a near-future action story about a world of fast links and hidden dangers, and the shinobi who protect it.The strength is the setting. The connected world is inventive, and the mix of modern technology and ninja tradition is fun. The action is stylish and the cast is engaging. The weaknesses are about scope. The run is short, so the arc is brief, and the world-building can feel thin. Readers wanting a deeper story may find it quick.Recommended for fans of stylish near-future action. Expect a brisk, inventive read.
