This is not a shonen blast. It is a slow-life fantasy about a corporate worker who finds he can craft potions above his rank and decides to open his own drugstore. The premise is cosy, and the series is happy to be cosy. The best part is the patient-of-the-week rhythm. Each creature who walks in has a small problem, and the solutions are clever without being dramatic. The medicine details add flavour, and the calm pace makes it work well as a comfort read.Weaknesses: the stakes are low, and that is the whole point, but readers who want battles or a sweeping plot will find little to chew on. The structure is episodic, so the story rarely builds much momentum across chapters.Recommended for readers who want something gentle and easy to read in short bursts. If you need intensity, look elsewhere.
