Sahoko had lots of friends in high school, so there is no shortage of people to catch up with at her reunion. But the one face she wants to see is missing: that of Aoi Koshiba. The premise is a quiet drama about memory, unfinished feelings and the friends who drift out of our lives. The strength is the emotion. Sahoko's longing is drawn with sensitivity, and the reunion setting gives the story a gentle, reflective quality. The art and pacing suit the wistful mood. The weaknesses come from the pace. The story is slow and sometimes sad, and readers wanting a lively drama may find it quiet. The series is short, so some threads stay open.Recommended for readers who enjoy reflective stories about old friendships. Expect a gentle, wistful read that rewards patience.
