High-schooler Hoshino Terumichi has been haunted by a recurring dream. A young man, a century earlier, dies at the hands of another man he calls Sensei. The premise is a short supernatural romance and mystery, where a dream becomes a curse and the past bleeds into the present. The strength is the hook. The recurring dream and the mystery of the sensei give the story a tense, eerie pull. The tight pacing suits the short run, and the atmosphere is unsettling. The weaknesses are about scope. The series is very short, so the mystery is compressed and some horror beats are predictable. Readers wanting a fuller story may find it brief.Recommended for readers who enjoy short supernatural mysteries. Expect a quick, eerie read that rewards close attention.
