v0.32.0 is out.Fixed - Update checks that were being blocked. Some sites refused background checks, so titles were skipped. Checks now identify the app properly, which clears this where the site allows it. - History flooded by one chapter. Turning pages could be logged as a new "External chapter" each time, under an entry named after the site, pushing out your real activity. Page turns now count as one chapter. On first start the app takes a backup, records those chapters again under the real title where it can, and removes the old entry. - Wrong chapter numbers. An internal id in a chapter's address could be read as its number. - Next and Previous skipping chapters. Right after you start tracking a site, or when its list is only partly known, Next could jump far ahead. The panel now uses the site's own link when that link is the nearer chapter. - Firefox background checks. Sites that need a fully rendered page could never be checked in the background in Firefox. They can now. - False "new chapter" alerts the first time a tracked site's list is read, and rows that doubled up. - Panel stuck on "Detecting". On sites that keep the page number in the address, the panel never found the chapter, and rebuilt itself on every page turn. It now finds it straight away. - Short chapter lists. A first visit to a title available in several languages could list only a few chapters in yours, so the dropdown looked empty and Next jumped. Lists now ask for your language. - Series that moved. When a site renames a series, update checks failed with a 404. The app now finds the new address and moves the title, keeping your progress. - Missing covers. More series pages give up their cover, new titles get theirs straight away, and reading a chapter no longer erases a stored cover or status. - Titles no longer keep a chapter number, a site name or a trailing id. - Continuous scroll now fills in as you go on sites that show one page at a time. New - Open the site first. If a site asks for a check before it will answer, the app says so on every page, with a button that opens the title. Checks stop asking that site for the rest of the run instead of retrying every title. - Optional session use. After that prompt you can let update checks for that one site use your browser session. It's off by default and you can turn it off at any time. - Broader site support. The reading panel recognises more chapter pages, and volume folders or language codes are no longer mistaken for the title. - Clearer logs. Export diagnostic log now shows each chapter recorded or refused and why, and why a background check failed. - Titles that need relinking are now listed by name, and the support log is safe to share. Known limits - A chapter read while its site is blocking checks may not be recorded if its address doesn't name the title. This shows in the diagnostic log. - The on-page Mark read button doesn't yet tell you when a chapter couldn't be saved. The diagnostic log does. - Sites can change how they treat background checks at any time. If that happens, the Open the site first prompt appears.Get it from the Download page; Chrome and Firefox builds both update from there.
